Susie hails from Bellflower, CA where she had a stellar high school volleyball career. At Valley Christian High, she was a four-year starter and named All-CIF all four years. Her 1999 team was named USA Today's number one team in the nation. She was also an All-CIF basketball player for four years.
She played club volleyball for Ichiban Asics Nova and Golden West from 1999 to 2002. During those years, her teams won two Gold medals and two Bronze medals at the Junior Olympics. Her senior year, she was named to Volleyball magazine's Fab 50.
Susie then moved on to play college volleyball for perennial powerhouse University of Hawaii as both a left side and a right side hitter. Her Hawaii teams had two Final Four and two Sweet 16 appearances in the NCAA Championship Tournament.
Susie completed her BA in Sociology, as well as a Minor in Women's Studies. Susie is married to Jon-Paul Willet, who is a submariner in the Navy, which has brought her to San Diego. She has two kids, Sophia who is 5 and Hunter who is 3. She started coaching at Epic in 2007. Last year, Susie was the head coach of our 13-1 team
