Melissa Williams
Coach, Girls 6th Grade
Melissa comes from a true volleyball family. She has four sisters who also played club volleyball in their youth, and one of them is currently Associate Director and a head coach for Force Volleyball Club in Sacramento.
Melissa started playing volleyball in seventh grade in Davis, CA. At Davis High School, she was a starting middle blocker and occasional right-side hitter on teams that made it to the Division I California State Championship Finals both her junior and senior years.
She played club volleyball for the Davis Volleyball Club. In 1987 her team competed at the Colorado Crossroads Tournament, one of the largest tournaments in the nation, where she was named to the All-Tournament Team.
Melissa then moved to San Diego and enrolled at Mesa College where she played volleyball during the 1991 and 1992 seasons. Both years the Mesa team went to the Pacific Coast Conference Championship Finals, winning it in 1992, and both years she was named to the All-Conference Team.
After her college years, Melissa played beach and grass doubles and played in indoor adult coed leagues for over a decade.
Melissa is married and has three children - two daughters play in the Local program at Epic. This is Melissa's second year coaching Epic Local 12 and Unders. She enjoys making the girls better players so that their love for volleyball just gets stronger
